Getting Started


When you first find out you have to change your diet, IT'S OVERWHELMING!!!!!!!! 

You are saddened for your child but thankful you may have a way to "fix" him/her.  You are confused by the ingredients to avoid.  You don't know if you even have anything in your pantry that you can eat. You don't know where to start.  You still have post partum hormones you are dealing with.  You may have a fussy baby.

 Exactly. Overwhelming.

1st, take a deep breath.  We are here to help!!

2nd, Stick with whole/real foods.  Foods you KNOW are safe...fruits, veggies, eggs, chicken, etc

3rd- Come up with a basic shopping list.  We have some basic ideas listed here.  Key word here is BASIC.  You can't expect to replace everything in your pantry immediately nor would you want to pay for it either. Plus reading labels takes a very loooong time so do simple first!

4th- Feed your family the "contaminated" stuff and you avoid it (so you don't have to trash it!!)


Start small and build on it.  Once you become more familiar with reading labels and your staple items you can advance into more complex recipes and even venture into the eating out scene again!!
